I’ve been a member of the Surfrider Foundation for the last 10 years and this is by far the best piece of advertising that I’ve ever seen coming from them. Done by Young & Rubicam : Paris with Herve Riffault as the CD(Gerard Trignac did the illustration), I think this piece is both subtle and clever. Using a religious reference is always a tough thing to do if you’re intent on not ruffling a few feathers and I feel that this one may have accomplished just that. I’m sure some group out there in the world will find something offensive about this ad, but I’d be surprised if anyone cared.

Here are two new(and odd) Virgin Mobile spots. This first spot involves a midget, pigs, wrestling & more. The second piece is named 100% Human Hair and is even more bizarre. Directed by The Perlorian Brothers(go figure) for Reginald Pike/Biscuit and Mother:NY. Music is by Squeak E. Clean(great name).

Ok, with this one I’ve realized that you either love it or hate it, and well, I just so happen to be part of that first group. A Christmas Story was, and still is, one of my all-time holiday movies and i think this spoof spot was well done. It even has the star appearing in bunny-rabbit pajamas at the end. “You’ll rack the bill up!!” Done by BBDO, if anyone knows what production company was used, feel free to post in the comments(well, feel free to post anyways, but especially if you have any info on the project)
