Axe Translates Body Language – Desire, Oedipus, Self-Esteem

A new series of commercials for Axe body spray coming from VegaOlmosPonce, Buenos Aires, in which we are shown various translations of body language and the alternative meanings after using Axe body spray. From Oedipus-like translations at the pool to conveying self-esteem on the dance-floor, these spots are pretty funny (as are most of the commercials produced for Axe).

This is the latest from an agency who has taken home both a Cannes Gold Lion in 2008 and a Cannes Integrated Grand Prix in 2007 for their Axe campaigns…Good stuff.

Shown above is “Desire,” you can view the other two in the series below:

Axe – Oedipus:

Axe – Self Esteem:

Rafael Santamarina and Juan Manuel Montero are the Copywriter/Art Director duo responsible for this series with Hernan Ibarra, Walter Aregger and Hernan Ponce as Creative Directors. Selva Dinelli was the agency producer.

Luciano Podcaminsky directed all three for Rebolucion, Buenos Aires (Patricio Alvarez Casado was the Executive Producer). Axel Linari was the Production Manager with Andres Shakespiare as Assistant Director (Victor Gonzalez was DOP, Daniela Podcaminsky was the production-house Art Director and Eliane Katz was the Editor). Metrovision was the post-production house used with music by Animal Music and sound by No Problem.
