Psyop’s at it again with their latest look in the life of Kevin Garnett as a continuation in the popular HP campaign by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. This time they’re promoting their thin dv2 notebook along with a contest giving you a chance to win tickets, hotel and airfare to see the Celtics play in Boston as well as an away game in a not-yet-announced West Coast city.

If you were a fan of that Honda – Let It Shine commercial that I posted last March (courtesy of w+k), you’ll probably be into this clip as well. It’s a ‘Making Of’ video for the commercial that gives us an inside look into the production of what I think was an extremely cool series of shots.

Director Erik van Wyk (from production company Bouffant, Cape Town) along with various members of the production team walk us through the steps they had to take in order to achieve the desired ‘headlights in synch’ effect that makes this a memorable spot. Pretty cool.

Here are two cool new spots for The UPS Store created by Doner and Psyop. It’s an epic 25 second tale called The Rescue. The agency gave Psyop a brief that challenged them to create an epic tale involving a world (and characters) all made out of cardboard….this is what they came up with – Amazing special effects/3D work from start to finish. The second part can be seen below (along with a quote from the designers describing some of the challenges they faced converting this idea into 3D).
