This is a clever new campaign for Cadbury Schweppes owned sweets manufacturer The Natural Confectionery Company. It’s what would happen if you let a 10 year old with an over-developed sense of reality do the voice-over for his gummy-bears. Pretty funny if you ask me. The one shown above is named Raphael and we’re introduced to one hard dinosaur-head-ripping-off bear, or so he’ll have you believe. The other two in the set involve an army of mumbling pineapples and a trumpet loving gummy treat.

Bring on the trumpets!

Having never been to Australia, this is actually the first time that I’ve heard about this brand. Apparently their jellies are the most popular jelly product on Australian supermarket shelves [source]. Cool.

What’s a shame about this brand is their utter lack of interactive presence. If you visit their website you will think that you’ve somehow transported back to 1990 and are visiting a Geocities page made by your niece. Get with the times guys! You’re owned by Cadbury Schweppes, the least you could do is update your website, heck, get Cadbury to have the folks that did theirs design you one as well!

Matt Keon from Fallon, London was the Creative for this campaign with Gemma Knight as the Agency Producer. Tom Kuntz from MJZ was the Director with Neil Jordan as the Production Company Producer.

The other two, Trumpets and Mumble can be found below the fold:

Here are the latest batch of TV commercials in the Dos Equis - The Most Interesting Man In The World campaign that was talked about on this blog earlier in the year.

His organ donation card also lists his beard.
He’s a lover, not a fighter. But he’s also a fighter so don’t get any ideas.

The one shown above is entitled Snooker and gives us a new voice-over introduction to The Most Interesting Man In The World. The other two featured in the series give us his opinions on Rollerblading and on Life (both shown below).

The Rollerblading one is great, there’s no dialogue until the end of the commercial when all he states is a simple,

No.

You’ll have to check-out what he has to say on the topic of Life for yourself.

Here are the two other commercials in this set:

Well known artist, skater and writer Michael Sieben has just finished teaming up with adidas to release a fun video/interactive site to promote his latest additions to their “Original” collection. He was originally approached by adidas to only design one shoe, however shortly after starting this task both sides realized the potential for more than just a shoe design and a creative partnership was born. Two shoes, a shirt, a hoody and three magical creatures later and you have the mini-film that was shot bringing to life the characters that Sieben features in his designs. The film can be found on the special micro-site that was created for this project - www.adidas.com/michaelsieben

Here’s what the two Sieben-designed adidas Superskates look like (he created both a high and low-top version):

It was directed by Eric Noren for Juice Design with Jess Weinstein & Sara Clarkin as producers. Matt Uhry was the Director of Photography, Dan Wolfe was the editor and the music composition was by Johnnyrandom.

The mini-movie shows us Sieben accompanied by a few of his cartoon creations embarking on a treasure hunt that takes them all throughout the San Francisco Bay area.
“Behind The Scenes” footage of the making of this movie-clip can be found below:

CopyRanter Blog Is Back After Just A Few Days

Wow, I honestly was kidding about having people pay you to post - I really didn’t think someone was dumb enough to actually go ahead and do it!

Anyhow, shortly after my previous article on the demise of copyranter’s blog, I learned that the site was not going to be shut-down as originally planned….It’s kind of like when people claim they’re going to delete their twitter account…. or stop drinking…. it never really lasts long… and although it’s late news to most, the guy has managed to finagle his way into a deal that will keep him online.

He claims that he’ll keep posting on his regular blog, however from now on he’s on payroll over at the Animal New York website…. so go check-out his work there. If we are really lucky, his posts there will be as equally, if not more (now that he’s being paid) stimulating than ever before.
Sadly, no mention of brentter.com on his “I’m back and promise it wasn’t a joke but really needed the money” post, although agencyspy did get a shout-out…. hmmm… payola perhaps? Or have you just been a fan of their recent rips on JWT? (I guess I should consider it a compliment that I wasn’t grouped in with the likes of adage.com)

On a serious note though, congrats on the victory.

Here’s a cute addition to the Canadian Purina website that lets you learn how to “speak dog.” It reminds me of the subservient ___insert any of the chicken knock-offs here__ sites, but only this time using a well-trained dog as it’s victim. The site also gives you the ability to send a Valentines Day card to your loved one using the newly learned dog language (and yes there is a cat version of the site too, although at the time of this posting there isn’t a “learn to speak like a cat” nor a feline version of the Valentine’s Day card. I’m sure those will be up within the week though).

The site was designed by Lowe Roche, Toronto for Purina, and features the Dog Communication Tool as well as the Send a Valentine in Dog as part of the brand’s new Valentine’s day campaign push. The Valentine’s Day card portion is said to go down following this Friday (In case that somehow throws you off though, remember that Valentine’s Day is on Thursday this year….. and I don’t think this would serve as a proper “sorry honey that I missed Valentine’s Day” grovel) so if you have any interest in checking it out, i’d suggest you do it soon.

As for the speak dog section, type in “bad” or “sexy” and see what happens….
