So I’m finally back from ad:tech SF and have lots to update. For those of you who know me, I tend to prefer being on the other side of the camera, but Murray Newlands of Affiliate Heat fame convinced me it’d be a good idea to let him try out his new camera by interviewing yours truly. You can checkout his blog featuring the interview as well as a recently written Twitter ebook that he’s produced over at www.murraynewlands.com.

And now back to the usual brentter.com banter. It’s good to be back home.

Once again i’m off to another ad:tech, this time in the town where it all started – San Francisco. There are parties every night this week and some killer speakers lined up for the tues-thu. conference. If anyone’s interested in a meet-up, feel free to message me on twitter or shoot me an email, using the contact link in the top navigation will let you send me one.

You can stay updated with all things adtech related by subscribing to the #adtechsf feed or by reading the blog we’re all contributing to: http://www.adtechblog.com.

So Ashton Kutcher (@aplusk) got over a million followers on twitter this afternoon prompting Oprah to decide it was time to join in on the fun by signing up with the popular social networking site herself. This was quickly followed by an influx of instant-followers (70k+ in over 20 minutes) and even a lesson in etiquette by, and you can’t even make this stuff up, Shaquille O’Neal himself.

Above you can see Oprah’s first tweet, followed by Shaq’s helpful response teaching her one of the basics of online etiquette. DON’T USE CAPS UNLESS YOU’RE EITHER BREAKING UP WITH SOMEONE*…

(*or are Oprah).
