I like this ad in that it takes an interesting play on the transitivity of equality(that is if A=B, and B=C, then A=C.. duh!). The animation is spot on and if you were to take out the product shot at the end, this ad could be used as a pretty cool screen saver.
Nicely done.
Conceptualized by Creative on Demand and produced at Logan/Venice(good to see they aren’t ripping off anyone for this one). The Executive Producer was Kevin Shapiro, the same guy who was EP for the new Bob Dylan iTunes spot.

By clicking here you can view a similar spot that they made in which they use the same logic but this time with Timbales.

It’s an old and common practice that sex, cute animals, and babies can sell pretty much anything. Well, here’s one more example of that strategy in use. Done by Assignment Group Auckland, this spot features a cute baby who steals the keys of his parents car for an adventure in joyriding. After riding around town, the young driver picks up another baby(female hitchhiker of course) and heads ‘out west.’ Interesting to note that the baby is shown wearing his seatbelt, how he reaches that, or the pedals for that matter, is still unknown.

This spot would not be complete without the obligatory closing scene of the baby surfing… It’s all been done before(well, maybe not the surf scene), but that still doesn’t stop me from liking it, even though it’s more “cutesy” than “earth shattering.”

ripped from ‘Boards.

I found this insert in a magazine the other day and was pleasantly amused. It’s the Jetta Official Backseat Driver’s Manual. The guide then goes on to inform us that “Being a backseat driver is not a right. It’s a privilege. And a responsibility.” It not only resembles an official looking manual, but also includes a quiz and an official backseat drivers license at the end(complete with a spot to affix your own photo).

Done by Crispin Porter + Bogusky, I would have liked to have seen some more content related to this(where’s the website!?). Click HERE to view scans of each of the pages. Very clever, I am looking forward to seeing the other books in the “Designed For Funf” series (this one claims to be “book one”).

If this is looking familiar, you may recall that they did a magazine insert for the mini that let you use the page as a stencil to draw your own “modified” ride.

I wonder what the responsibilities of a passenger riding Hump will be?

I’m in love with this new ad for the re-release of the Volkswagen Rabbit. In case you’re wondering, the song is “The Birds and the Bees” by Patrick and Eugene.

HERE is a link to itunes to grab it.
