6/17/11 UPDATE #2
The news source that corrected me the first time turned out to be WRONG!! They interviewed the father, the kid is from australia and yes, they were going at it.. Way to go!!
CORRECTION: Everyone has been sharing this pic thinking it’s a romantic photo in the middle of a riot. I have just learned that no. She had been stabbed. Yes, STABBED. He was consoling her. Someone stabbed her over a hockey game. A GAME!!! That disgusts me.
Seriously. Now that’s the kind of rioting we need to see more of… I guess the stereotype about Canadians is true… they really…ohh wait.. nah I know a few that aren’t as nice as the stereotype about them is,… but this is the most romantic riot i’ve ever seen. This is how riots should be like.

In an effort to help raise awareness of the dangers of drunk driving, MADD Canada along with TBWA Toronto has released a series of short spots showing us a group of Drunk Driving Experts being interviewed about how they’ve been able to out-smart the system and stay on the road. I’m sure everyone has been told about some ‘fail-proof’ way to beat a breathalyzer test at some point in their life, usually by someone swearing up and down about how well it works. I remember when I was a kid we all thought that if you had to take a breathalyzer you could fool it by chewing on a penny because of something to do with the copper from the coin messing with the device. Needless to say it only took one idiot from my school actually trying this ‘trick’ for us to realize that it was just some made up story that made zero sense.
Adam Massey from Holiday Films was the director along with TBWA creatives James Ansley and Denise Cole.

This has got to be making first dates all across Canada a little more awkward, it’s a public service announcement named Eye of the Cervix from the B.C. Cancer Agency promoting their Cervical Cancer Screening Program. It’s current showing along with movie trailers in theaters all across Canada.
