Sean Connery Stars in new 2008 Louis Vuitton Print Ad

Vuitton….Louis Vuitton. Everyone’s favorite James Bond, Sean Connery, can now be added to the list of recent celebrities recruited to star in a Annie Leibowitz shot campaign for fashion designer Louis Vuitton. Promoting their ‘Core Values’ effort, Sean Connery joins other celebrities like Keith Richards, Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola, Andre Agassi and Mikhail Gorbachev. The campaign benefits The Climate Project, which is run by Al Gore. In order to get Gorbachev to model for the campaign, a donation was made to Green Cross International, an environmental organization founded by the former Soviet leader in 1993.

The tag-line reads,

There are journeys that turn into legends

The 78 year old retired actor is pictured relaxing on a dock near his home in the Bahamas. Two other pieces in the campaign are shown below.

Here’s the latest to come from Copywriter/Art Director duo Michael Illick and Eric Baldwin of w+k fame, it’s two Old Spice Swagger commercials complete with celebrity cameos. LL Cool J stars in the one shown above, explaining to us that he wasn’t always as ‘cool’ as he is now, he used to be an awkward teenager. That is, he was until he started using Old Spice Swagger, at which point he apparently transformed into a self-absorbed R&B star. Good for him.

The second in the series (shown beneath the fold) features a similar story line but this time with Chicago Bears Linebacker Brian Urlacher. He wasn’t just a dork, he was a lisp-having drama queen….That is, until he started using Old Spice Swagger.

Here’s a recent commercial for Foot Locker and Nike that features NBA stars Caron Butler, Rudy Gay, Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire.

Created by Chris McMurtrey (Copywriter) and Scott Higgins (Art Director) from Nitro USA, this spot shows us what it’d be like if having fun on the Santa Monica Pier meant playing full-contact basketball using the entire 2000 ft. boardwalk as a court.

Dave Meyers Directed this piece with @radical.media, Los Angeles (Frank Scherma was the Executive Producer with Paul Cameron as DP). Adam Schwartz from Beast did the Editing with Jai Shukla as the Assistant Editor. Tim Masick from Company 3 was the Colorist and Peter Holcolmb from Sound Lounge was the Sound Mixer. JD Williams from Driver was the Executive Producer.

The song used in this commercial is Strobe’s Nanafushi (Satori Mix) from Kodo.
