Here’s the latest to come out of Wieden + Kennedy for Nike, titled “Fate.” All I can say is ‘wow.’ This commercial makes me wish I was 16 again and playing high school football. Both the segues and the soundtrack are absolutely seamless!

Jason Bagley and Ryan O’Rourke were the Copywriter/Art Director team for this piece along with Matt Hunnicutt and Juliana Montgomery as the Sr. and Associate Producers.

David Fincher from Anonymous Content was the Director along with Emmanuel Lubezki as the DOP. Angus Wall from Rock Paper Scissors was the Editor with CL Weaver as the Post EP (Michael Goble was the Post Producer). VFX was by Asylum and featured sound design by Ren Klyce from MOS. Last but not least, Loren Silber did the mixing at Lime (Jessica Locke was the Mix Producer).

w+k Tokyo launches new website

Wieden + Kennedy, Tokyo just launched a redesign of their website – www.wktokyo.jp. Looks pretty cool, but what’s really interesting about the site is the wealth of neighborhood information that it provides through their custom google maps/links sections.
Here’s a clip from the customized map page:

They’ve also put up a blog – www.wktokyo.jp/blog/

Nokia has recently been airing two new spots in the UK for their N-Series mobile phones. Created by Wieden + Kennedy, London both commercials feature strange animated headphones that embody whatever style of music that the phones, which are connected to the headsets, are playing. Supposed to represent completely different styles of music, the headsets are “pitted” against one-another in an animated battle. The one above is called Pop Princess vs. DJ and you can view the other commercial in the set below.

Nokia – Lips vs. Mindreader:

Ida Gronblom and Fabian Bergund are the Art Director/Copywriter team for this series along with Jon Chads as the Agency Producer. Tokyoplastic directed both of the spots with Picasso Pictures as the production company (Jane Bolton was the Executive Producer). Sam Lanyon Jones was the Editor with Finish TV as Post-Production. Sound Design was by Andrew Cope.

The song used for Nokia – Lips vs. Mindreader was Punk Rock Version of God by The Freelance Hellraiser (real name Roy Kerr).

The music used for Pop Princess vs. DJ was by Roy Kerr and Anu Pillai from Damunki (on the Brightside/Sony BMG label).
